Tiverton’s iconic clam shack now open for the summer

Evelyn’s Drive-in, with the setting on Nannaquaket Pond, and the VW Bug in the parking lot that is powered by clam cakes, is also celebrating 30 years under owners Jane and Dom Bitto.

The roadside seafood spot will celebrate with special pricing on classic shore dining and a big birthday bash in June. The customer appreciation specials include $10.99 fish and chips on Monday; $5 chowder and clam cakes on Tuesdays; and a $30 dinner for two on Wednesdays. The dinner special includes clam cakes, a glass of beer or wine, and choice of fish and chips, crab cakes, clam strips, grilled chicken, Mediterranean calamari salad, and beef, shrimp, or chicken chow mein.

All specials are for dining in only. In addition to an indoor dining room, Evelyn’s has a waterfront patio right next to the restaurant’s dock, a stop for boaters. There is also a picnic-table pavilion for takeout,

Evelyn’s will throw an invitation-only Anniversary Bash on June 20.

The 2017 Singing Out Against Hunger Concerts will be held on three Fridays this summer: July 14, Aug. 11, and Sept. 8. All shows start at 5 p.m. with free admission.

Spring hours are daily 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
